Stainless Steel Apple Grater

Commercial Scale Apple Grater w/ Stainless Frame and Drum

OESCO (aka "Orchard Equipment Supply Company") has been building this grater since the 1960s. It employs a heavy steel frame with a high speed bearing-mounted drum fitted with high-carbon steel knives. This is the grater that we furnish with our commercial rack and cloth presses. You can purchase the grater as part of a rack press package, as part of the Sanifeed system or as a standalone grater for integrating into your current juice production system.

Graters are turned by an electric motor (not included in the price of the standalone grater). The 8-100 and 10-100 graters require a 5 HP motor. The grater spins against a one-piece stainless steel concave that narrows to an opening of approximately 1/16 of an inch. When everything is running as it should, the grater will grind apples as quickly as they are fed to the grater, turning out a smooth "applesauce" like pomace with a high juice yield.

All wearing components are available as replacement parts -- the concaves and mounting hardware (springs, shaft, bolts, etc.) and the bearings, and we offer a drum replacement service for new or re-conditioned drums Call us for Details. The drum itself typically lasts one to several cider seasons, depending upon your level of production.

Note that these graters are made to order. Please allow six to eight weeks for us to get your grater to you.
